Ahmad Ali Masoodi wins the second leg

It’s Ahmad Ali Masoodi of UAE who clinches the second leg of the Tour de India. The Tour de India second leg was held at Kashmir and it drew an overall appreciation from everybody. The Bangalore cyclist Naveen Thomas John secured the second spot while Thai rider Surawat Ahmad ended third. International Cycling Union is collaborated with the Tour de India and the race is scheduled to take place in three cities – Mumbai, Kashmir and Greater Noida, of which the first two legs are over and the final phase will take place on December 9.

Kashmir’s chief minister Omar Abdullah was very much excited to hear that the Tour de India was to be held at Kashmir. He promised to make it a grand success and after seeing the opening it seems he kept his word. Participants all across the globe took part in the event and none of them complained for anything! The Kashmir leg of Tour de India covered a distance of 168 kilometres in total. The participants had to ride 26 kilometres to finish each lap.

The event was inaugurated by Omar Abdullah himself at the banks of Dahl Lake. Omar Abdullah is very positive about the future prospect of Kashmir as cycling event host and he told that this event would help the city to gain its fame. The chief minister requested the organizers to make this event a huge success so that more and more people could grow their interest in cycling. The organizers didn’t dishearten him as the show was almost flawless!

Meanwhile, Ahmad Ali Masoodi creates his place in the history book by becoming the winner of the event. The UAE cyclist rode really well while completing the 68 kilometres mark and he left the others far behind him. He is happy to grab the victory and told that it would help to boost his career in the future.
