What motivates you to bike all the way to Tibet?

I've always been interested in people of different cultures and countries. Back then I've been considering to study cultural anthropology. But I do not only want to learn from “simple books”, I'd rather see it for myself, experience it myself. That's why I go on this journey! I want to learn from these people, but also from the culture and the country. Discover how these people live, what motivates them. I really want to get to know everything!

What motivates me to travel to Tibet by bicycle?
Actually, those are two distinct questions at the same time. I will begin with my motivations to travel to Tibet.When I was still at primary school one of my first essays had to be about a country. Ignorant (=blissed) as I was, I wrote this masterpiece with Tibet as the main subject, although it’s not an official country, and was not at that time either.
